Manager, Inventory Control and Administration - Suwannee, GA
Responsible for inventory control, purchasing, administrative, and office functions of the distribution center. Also responsible for some functions of packaging.
Oversees inventory control for distribution center. Responsible for:
Cycle Counting and Reconciliation
Inventory Adjustments to MIGO, PGI, Exacta
Oversees customer service for distribution center issues. Responsible for:
Sales representative inquiries regarding orders and emergency responses
Review of daily shipments
Oversees Administrative Assistant to ensure:
Updates to distribution center record keeping
Distribution center activities are performed on a timely basis
Oversees limited Purchasing functions including:
Oversees limited Packaging functions including:
Building of Lawson Products assortments, repacks
Oversees and initiates daily cycle counting through Inventory Control Team, ensuring completeness and accuracy of process.
Oversees daily inventory analysis to solve inventory problems.
Reconciles inventory variances.
Oversees product audits and shipping package audits.
Ensures adequate inventory of materials and products in conjunction with Corporate Inventory Team
Recommends measures to improve methods, performance and quality of service. Suggests changes in working conditions to increase efficiency.
Works to provide internal and external auditors with any information required.
Ensures policies and procedures are in place and followed for a safe environment.
Responsible for the inbound put-away team to ensure products are put away correctly and timely
Possible quarterly travel.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to stand; walk; and use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls. The employee is occasionally required to sit, reach with hands and arms. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee occasionally works near moving mechanical parts and in outside weather conditions. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.

Detailed oriented with the ability to understand the operational drivers of our business, our products, and the appropriate staffing levels, with a thorough understanding of all distribution operations and packaging kitting activities.
Computer skills with a basic knowledge of Microsoft Office. SAP WM/MM highly desired. Warehouse Management System (WMS)/ Transportation Management System (TMS) knowledge a plus.
Experience with lean processes or Six Sigma certification preferred.
Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university; 7+ years’ experience in warehouse distribution management; knowledge of warehouse functions and budgeting, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
SAP, MS Office, and Lean experience preferred.
